Skunks

We caught skunks in our backyard!!!  You can see a video of them here: http://david.cubedwater.com/2007/01/25/skunks/

Of course, animal control had to go shoot them...

Thou Hungry Xangsters

To satisfy the hungry beasts (otherwise known as Xanga Members):

A post!!!

Muahaha

Winter vacation for a month!!  And I've completed all my English classes probably for the rest of my life!  Unbelievable!!

What's even more unbelievable is that I haven't really even squandered my vacation sleeping, I've actually been doing cool stuff like jogging and working on a really cool website with my bro.  And I've got a freaking awesome new cell phone - it does mp3s like an ipod, takes video and pictures, and can even be used to make calls (who knew?).  You should call me sometime.  Oh yeah, you should probably also know that I lost all of your numbers too, because they were all stuck on my old phone which I threw away.

Kidding.

Backpacking

Hey guess what I did this weekend?  I went backpacking in the Ohlone Wilderness, it was pretty cool - and now my legs are sore.  We skipped Mission Peak, so we went roughly 20 miles total over the three days - 3.5 miles the first day, about 10 miles the second day, and 7ish miles the third day.  I got a few blisters, a couple of bruises where my backpack straps were, but it was worth it :).

Heat

It's hooott.  It was 108 last week.  It's *only* 90something today.

I think it's pretty funny how we somehow manage to make new heat records every single year.  I know the earth isn't warming that fast.

Crazy week

WOAH yesterday I slept in until 4PM!!!  No joke!!  OK, so I got up briefly to take a shower and eat breakfast, but still...  Yeah this was a crazy week!

I had finals Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of last week which was kind of stressful (ok, really stressful), and then Thursday I had to get up early to go to Mt. Diablo, and then of course all weekend I was at the Watsonville airshow (which was AWESOME), so when I got home I just crashed.  My lips now look like ground beef or something from getting chapped/burned from the sun, but it was worth it.

Good news... I got all As in my classes this year!!  I'm going to be majoring in Biotechnology, so I get to take tons of science classes which will be fun, and I'll transfer out of DVC (probably to UC Davis) in 2007 as a junior.  This August I'll actually be signing a transfer agreement with them (or another college if I find one I like better) which will guarantee me transfer rights as long as I keep a certain GPA a take certain classes.  The required GPA is something like 2.7 overall and 3.0 in certain science classes, so that shouldn't be a problem for me.

Next semester I'll be taking General College Chem, Calculus I, English (Critical Thinking), and Psychology, which should be pretty fun.  The only disappointment is that I can't take biology until the spring semester, because the chemistry class is a prerequisite.  Oh well.

This summer is going to be awesome too. COS, Encampment, ATS, an airshow or two... Plus I'm going to try and visit some colleges to get a feel for what I like.  I'm psyched!
